About the role
Surgical Solutions is seeking full-time Traveling Technicians to join their Team. This is a full-time position with a growing organization committed to supporting surgical teams nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Travel across assigned territories to support new hospital accounts in both the operating room and sterile processing departments.
- Execute the project plan for successful implementation of new accounts.
- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with hospital personnel, surgeons, nurses and OR staff.
- Help onboard new Technicians, orienting them to relevant hospital protocols and procedures.
- Provide on-the-job training for new hires and/or re-training for current staff.
- Maintain the highest standards of decontamination, inspection, assembly, wrapping, and sterilization of surgical instruments.
- Manage repairs and replace instruments as needed.
- Keep surgeon preference cards up to date.
- Demonstrate professionalism in service, communication, and teamwork with Surgical Solutions, hospital, and OR personnel.
- Maintain CRCST certification and comply with all credentialing and training requirements.
- Lead by example in daily operations to support operational workflows.
- Share best practices to help teams integrate digital tools smoothly.
Requirements
- CRCST or CBSPD certification required. If CBSPD certified, must obtain CRCST certification within 120 days of employment.
- Previous OR/SPD experience required.
- A high school diploma/GED required, some college preferred.
- Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to build rapport quickly with healthcare teams.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate needs.
- Flexibility for 24/7 hospital coverage including weekday, weekend, holiday rotations, and on-call shifts.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 90% of the time.
