About the role
The Traveling Safety Manager is a full-time, hybrid role with a combination of on-site client visits and some work-from-home flexibility.
Responsibilities
- Oversee workplace safety programs across multiple client locations, conducting site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Deliver safety training, support implementation of company and regulatory safety standards, and partner with client leadership to improve safety culture and compliance.
- Document findings, prepare reports, assist with incident and accident investigations, and track follow-up actions and metrics.
- Frequent travel to client sites, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with internal teams and client stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Solid knowledge of Occupational Health and Industrial Safety principles, with the ability to apply them in diverse work environments.
- Experience in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) program management, including regulatory compliance and risk mitigation strategies.
- Proficiency in Safety Training design and delivery, with the capability to engage varied audiences and reinforce safe work practices.
- Hands-on experience with Accident Investigation, incident reporting, and root-cause analysis to drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, CHST, ASP, or similar) are preferred.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills, including proficiency with standard office and safety management software.
- Able to travel regularly, manage multiple projects, and build effective relationships with client teams and internal stakeholders.
