About the role
This full-time, on-site Safety Manager role is based in Tulsa, OK and is responsible for overseeing safety and health programs within Food+ operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintains compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Develops and delivers safety training programs for diverse teams.
- Supports implementation of Environment Health and Safety (EHS) initiatives.
- Maintains documentation for audits and reporting.
- Investigates accidents and near-misses, identifies root causes, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Promotes a strong safety culture that protects team members, guests, and facilities.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Occupational Health and Industrial Safety, with the ability to apply best practices in a food service or hospitality environment.
- Experience in Safety Training, including developing and delivering training programs for diverse teams and reinforcing safe work practices.
- Knowledge of Environment Health and Safety (EHS) principles and regulations, including risk assessment, compliance monitoring, and incident prevention.
- Proficiency in Accident Investigation, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions to reduce future incidents.
- Strong understanding of relevant safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA), and experience managing safety documentation and reporting.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and engage team members at all levels.
- Proven ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple safety initiatives in a fast-paced, operational setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Professional safety certifications (e.g., CSP, CHST, OSHA certifications) are preferred.
- Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or facilities is preferred.
