Essential Functions
- Support safety oversight for large projects
- Works closely with the operations to understand and comply with OSHA regulations, Company Safety Policies and Owner Safety requirements.
- Investigates safety related incidents in conjunction with site leaders.
- Affixes JHA’s, toolbox talks, and Safety documentation.
- Completes Site Inspections and documents at least once daily.
- Conducts regular walk-through inspections of the site and serves as the safety liaison between the field and management (upwards of 70% of the job involves field audits and interactions with crews).
- Assists and identifies, documents, and recommends resolutions for hazardous and potentially hazardous conditions; follows up to ensure corrections have been made.
- Participates in pre-task planning and jobsite safety meetings.
- Assists in compiling data, photographs, etc.; prepares appropriate forms and reports according to program procedures and federal, state, and local accident regulations.
- Issues various permits (e.g., confined spaces, cranes) as required.
- Conducts awareness-level training and new hire orientations, per job-specific requirements.
- Assists in researching safety compliance and regulations in the industry.
Basic Qualifications
- Hands-on experience managing safety programs within commercial, industrial, or large-scale construction environments.
- OSHA 30 class completed.
- Advanced computer skills.
- One or more of the following certifications: CHST, ASP, CSP, or other safety-related accreditations.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to jobsites.
- 10+ years of safety experience in the construction industry.
