Traveling Project Manager

About the role

The Project Manager oversees project timelines, budgets, and technical solutions while ensuring safety, quality, and client satisfaction. This hands-on role requires 60–70% travel nationwide and reports to the Director of Operations & Vice President.

Responsibilities

• Serve as onsite project management lead for jobs nationwide, spending ~70% of time in the field.
• Complete daily progress reports with crew attendance, photos, and completion metrics.
• Conduct site visits and accompany clients, building departments, and fire marshals on walkthroughs to confirm code compliance and client requirements; secure sign-off before project completion.
• Oversee project preparation in the Las Vegas warehouse, including tools, hardware, materials, and equipment.
• Assist with local project planning, scheduling, and logistics.
• Ensure crews attend safety orientations, comply with safety regulations, and use proper PPE.
• Manage job-specific purchasing and procurement.
• Collaborate with the sales team to develop project cost estimates.
• Coordinate and review technical drawings with the CAD Department and project foreman to ensure accuracy before onsite arrival.
• Review detailed assembly/installation drawings with the project foreman for crew use.
• Maintain shop production and logistics schedules in coordination with onsite projects.
• Work with department heads and subcontractors to meet budgetary and scheduling goals.
• Communicate with clients, management, and sales staff during build and strike phases to align on progress, milestones, and deadlines.
• Manage onsite changes to project scope and report budgetary/staffing implications to management.
• Track project costs vs. budget and assemble post-mortem reports to evaluate project performance against estimates.

Requirements

• Previous industry experience in scaffolding, construction, technical theater, or scenic fabrication is a plus but not required.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Teams.
• High-level problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize short- and long-term project objectives.
• Outstanding relationship skills and a team-oriented, collaborative work ethic.
• Flexible schedule and ability to report to the Las Vegas office as needed when not on a jobsite.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Bilingual ability is a major plus but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Pay

$65,000–$80,000, negotiable based on experience.
