Traveling Project Manager 1 - Justice
Role Summary
JE Dunn, ENR's #2-ranked Contractor in Correctional Facilities Construction, is seeking individuals to join our traveling family of Project Managers. The Traveling Project Manager 1 - Justice will support the growth of our portfolio of projects for JE Dunn Justice clients across the United States.
Key Role Responsibilities
Leads all aspects of the company’s safety culture and creates awareness through individual actions and mentoring.
Manages the JE Dunn prestart process.
Serves as a liaison between the preconstruction team and subcontractors, ensuring accurate scope and pricing.
Coordinates the submittal schedule and ensures all documents are reviewed and approved by the appropriate parties.
Manages the project schedule, gathering input from the team and utilizing Lean principles as necessary.
Prepares and submits project schedules for owner/architect approval, and manages change requests.
Communicates project status and profitability through regular reporting and analysis.
Manages the closeout process, including punch lists, financials, subcontracts, warranties, and other documentation.
Interfaces with legal counsel as needed.
Career Path
This position serves as a stepping stone towards becoming a Project Manager 2.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
5+ years construction management experience.
Prior experience working on large or complex Justice / Corrections construction projects (preferred).
