Position Description

We are looking for an experienced Medical Technician/Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist to join our team at our Deer Park, TX site for a full-time position. Responsibilities

• Ability to work independently
• Ability to demonstrate: organizational skills, efficiency in all tasks and attention to detail
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical information
• Ability to effectively present information, both verbally and in writing
• Demonstrated ability to use computer and telephone
• Knowledge of current diagnostic tests, their functions, and normal results
• Has consistently demonstrated service-oriented performance
• Must adhere to the service expectations of CORE, LLC

Duties

• Adheres to all CORE, LLC policies and procedures
• Adheres to departmental Quality Assurance procedures
• Performs temperature checks
• Performs COVID nasal swab tests
• Processes CDC questionnaires
• Obtains basic history, and medical information, and takes vital signs
• Administers intramuscular injections under authorization and supervision of physician in accordance with State of Louisiana law and prevailing CORE, LLC agreements and protocols
• Performs collection of vital signs
• Performs visual acuity and color testing
• Performs urine specimen collection following DOT regulations and/or chain of custody requirements
• Performs safe venipuncture
• Performs urine dipstick testing
• Performs 12 lead EKGs
• Performs audiometric screening
• Performs other duties as required

Qualifications

• Current National Phlebotomy Certification (strongly preferred)
• Current CPR/BLS Certification (preferred)
• Pass DISA Background Check
• Pass DISA Drug and Alcohol Screening
• TWIC Card (preferred)
• Basic Orientation Plus from Alliance Safety Council (preferred)
• Class D/Chauffer's Drivers License (strongly preferred or willing to obtain within 60 days of hire)
• Must have available transportation with up-to-date insurance coverage
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and employees
