Traveling Geohazard Mitigation Technician

Responsibilities

  • Applying your skills across a variety of slope stabilization and geohazard mitigation systems
  • Executing safety plans—protecting the people around you is priority #1
  • Coaching and developing teammates to be more effective and grow their skills.
  • Helping with equipment maintenance and jobsite organization
  • Communicating clearly with clients and internal teams

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in construction in Geotechnical, Environmental, Civil or similar industries on projects that involve casing or rock hammer drilling, shotcrete application, slope stabilization or soils work.
  • Expertise in one or more machines/tools used in the work above (shotcrete nozzles, grout pumps, casing drills or other)
  • Strong communication—clear, direct, solution-oriented
  • Able to manage multiple priorities while keeping the crew aligned
  • Flexibility to travel and adjust schedules as needed
  • Driver’s license (CDL A is a plus)

Work & Travel Expectations

  • Outdoor work in climates ranging from mountains to deserts
  • Typical construction-site hazards and noise levels
  • Regular lifting of 75 lbs+
  • Extensive travel—up to 100% across the U.S.

  • This is an hourly leadership role with significant earning potential: $20—$33 USD per hour based on experience level with the machinery and construction techniques most relevant to our projects.
