About the role

This is a predominantly field-based role requiring 75–80% travel. Most installations will last 5-8 days, including a weekend. This position is ideal for technicians who enjoy working independently and being on the road.

Responsibilities

  • Work with cutting-edge Canon equipment and technologies.
  • Build strong relationships with customers through direct on-site service.
  • Travel extensively within the US to install Canon Ink Jet Products.
  • Diagnose mechanical, software, network, and system issues using established procedures.
  • Deliver high-quality, professional on-site service to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Complete Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and maintain all assigned Canon property.
  • Assist with escalated technical or customer service issues and guide less experienced technicians.
  • Receive ongoing training and opportunities for career growth in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of technical or field service experience.
  • Basic understanding of internet/network environments.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to complete the 20-day PDIF training.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (75-80%), including overnight stays typically lasting up to a duration of 2 weeks.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and stay active for most of the workday.
  • Comfortable with shift work; installs will involve overtime and weekend work.
  • This is a customer-facing role requiring compliance with customer policies and protocols, which may include COVID-19 vaccination and other measures relating to COVID-19.

Pay

In accordance with applicable law, the anticipated rate for this role is $21.50 - $30.75 hourly.
