About the Role

The Facilities Projects Technician supports property improvement and maintenance projects across multiple locations by performing hands-on work in painting, repairs, and light construction. This role works under the direction of the Facilities Projects Crew Lead and is responsible for executing assigned tasks safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company standards. This position contributes to projects in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, helping ensure consistency and quality across all properties. This role requires extensive travel (approximately 95-100%) and the ability to perform physical, hands-on work in a variety of environments.

Responsibilities

  • Project Execution (50%)
    • Perform a wide range of maintenance and improvement tasks including:
      • Interior and exterior painting
      • Surface preparation and finishing
      • Light construction and repair work
      • Basic carpentry and general facility improvements
    • Complete work in guest rooms, hallways, public spaces, and back-of-house areas
    • Operate tools, equipment, and machinery safely and effectively
    • Drive and tow equipment as needed
    • Support project timelines and assist in meeting completion goals
  • Team Support (20%)
    • Follow direction from the Crew Lead on daily assignments and priorities
    • Collaborate with team members to complete work efficiently
    • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment
    • Participate in on-the-job training and skill development
  • Quality Control & Compliance (20%)
    • Complete work in accordance with company quality standards
    • Identify and report maintenance issues or project concerns
    • Follow all safety guidelines and operational procedures
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and tools
    • Maintain organization and cleanliness of job sites
    • Maintain documentation of work completed and progress updates
  • Other Responsibilities (10%)
    • Comply with company timekeeping and attendance policies
    • Maintain flexibility to support changing project needs and schedules
    • Participate in company driving program as applicable
    • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Eligibility for enrollment in Company Insurance
  • Ability to travel 95%+
  • Ability to drive and tow trailers
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Reliable and consistent attendance

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • 3+ years of experience in maintenance, painting, construction, or related field
  • Commercial painting experience (interior and exterior)
  • Multi-location or hospitality experience (preferred)

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand and arm movements frequently
  • Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, climb, and walk on uneven surfaces on a frequent basis
  • Must be able to walk, climb ladders, and work outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat)
  • Must be able to climb stairs both inside and outside and frequently lift 50 lbs. and often exert up to 20 pounds of force to push, pull, carry, lift, or otherwise move objects
