Traveling Technician (Facilities Maintenance)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create, assign, and monitor work orders.
  • Track machine service intervals.
  • Order parts and diagnose issues using data from hundreds of makes and models.
  • Perform general carpentry tasks, including structural repairs to trailers, cabinetry adjustments, and door/hardware maintenance.
  • Execute minor plumbing repairs, such as fixing leaks, unclogging lines, and replacing fixtures within portable units and restroom trailers.
  • Install and perform preventative maintenance on a variety of rental bathroom trailers.
  • Use technology (laptops, tablets, and mobile phones) to manage work orders.
  • Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed in a complete and timely manner.

Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of plumbing, basic carpentry, and facility diagrams.
  • Experience with portable toilet facilities or modular buildings is a plus.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Active applicable state class driver's license.
  • Construction knowledge and background preferred.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to move, stand, stoop, and bend freely.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • This is a safety-sensitive position and an offer of employment will be contingent on passing a 10-panel drug screen.

Skills

  • Comfortable using technology (laptops, tablets, and mobile phones) to manage work orders.
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements (preferred).
  • Participation in year-round company-provided OEM training.

Pay

  • 70-85% travel.
  • Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with overtime pay after 40 hours.
  • (This role is subject to on-call scheduling with additional compensation provided).

  • Offers overtime pay after working 40 hours.
