TRAVELING Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician

About the role

Braun Intertec is seeking experienced Construction Materials Technicians for a traveling position working on Data Centers, Commercial Warehouses, and other remote projects. This role requires working overtime and weekends, as well as working outdoors in varying weather conditions. The ideal candidate is dependable, flexible, and enjoys being part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform concrete and compaction testing on commercial construction projects
• Prepare daily reports on testing and daily activities
• Report observations and test data with accuracy and completeness
• Communicate test results with project leads and site superintendents/foreman
• Work with project engineers and clients to ensure that client specifications are followed

Requirements

• A valid driver's license and a good driving history
• Ability to travel extensively and work at remote project sites throughout the U.S.
• Willingness to work long hours and weekends as required
• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of construction materials testing experience
• Minimum certification: ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade I

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous materials testing experience
• Technical expertise in electronic field data collection
• Ability to interpret plans and specifications
• iPad experience
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Preferred certifications:
  • ACI Concrete Strength
  • ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector
  • ICC Structural Masonry Special Inspector
  • ICC Pre-stressed Concrete Special Inspector
  • State DOT Certifications
  • NICET Certifications
  • Nuclear Gauge / Radiation Safety

Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Pay

Compensation Range: $50,000.00 - $74,000.00

Includes a $3,000.00 sign-on bonus.
