Traveling Assistant Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Manage the field operations of commercial construction projects under the direction of the Superintendent
• Oversee subcontractors, laborers, and other Schimenti Field Operations team members
• Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, architects, and client representatives
• Daily interaction and communication with Project Management team members
• Support the Superintendent maintaining 3 week look-ahead schedules
• Cookordination task completion and schedules with trade partners
• Verify dimensions and layouts
• Ensure all submittals are completed in a timely manner
• Maintain daily focus on job site safety and ensure security of project perimeter
• Responsible for updating daily logs and photos
• Partner with Project Management team to ensure timely and accurate close-out process
• Cookordinate site testing and inspection efforts
• Monitor project costs, which include labor time and materials
• Attend and participate in required weekly project and subcontractor meetings

Qualifications and Experience

• Must have two years of professional experience in the Construction industry or Trades
• Valid drivers license required
• Proven experience managing complex construction projects on short timetables
• Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
• Proficiency in reading commercial construction plans and specifications
• Collaborative and team-oriented
• High school diploma required, trade school or college education preferred
• 10 or 30 Hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health Certification preferred
• Ability to work with tools to perform various phases of construction work is a plus

Software Systems

• Microsoft Office experience required
• Procore experience highly preferred
• Basic working knowledge of Zoom or MS Teams

Pay

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Schimenti’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $70,000 - $90,000 salary per year.
