Responsibilities
- Maintain a robust understanding of all safety requirements and help drive a strong safety culture.
- Holds subcontractors/trades accountable and helps them perform safely through pre-task planning.
- Diligently monitor construction site activities and conditions, taking immediate corrective actions to any non-compliant work.
- Develop a working knowledge of the project's plans, specifications, shop drawings, submittals, and all other project-related documents.
- Notify the manager of any current non-compliance.
- Clearly communicate the sequence and schedule updates to subcontractors and vendors.
- Monitor work is progressing in compliance with the schedule and agreements, notifying the manager of any non-compliance.
- Communicate field updates of construction progress.
- Monitor resources (including manpower, materials, and temporary works) daily against the project plan.
- Monitor the project site logistics plan. Coordinate material deliveries and movement of equipment on the site to ensure safe and efficient work.
- Understand quality expectations and consistently test the quality of work in progress to minimize rework.
- Help ensure accurate construction documents are maintained, including a complete and accurate set of as-builts.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in the field/construction jobsite supervising work.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and understand specifications.
- Share in the company's unwavering commitment to being Incident and Injury Free, knowledgeable of OSHA requirements, and current OSA 10-hour certification.
- Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Productive interpersonal and conflict resolution skills while under pressure.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Skilled in working with scheduling software (ex. Microsoft Project, Primavera) and/or project documentation tracking systems (ex. Procore, Prolog) is preferred.
- College degree or equivalent experience.
