About the role

Travel Radiology Technologist position in a healthcare facility located in Tacoma, Washington. This role involves performing portable and department X-rays in a fast-paced hospital environment. The assignment starts 09/07/2026, lasts 13 weeks, and requires a minimum of 36 hours per week on a night shift.

Schedule

• Friday to Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 12-hour shifts, nights
• Minimum 36 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Perform portable X-ray examinations
• Conduct X-rays within the department and emergency department
• Work alongside other X-ray technologists (no solo duties during shifts)
• Coordinate with in-house radiologists during specific hours

Requirements

• Valid Washington state Department of Health imaging license
• ARRT registration
• BLS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in radiologic technology
• COVID vaccine required

Qualifications

Required

• 2+ years of experience in radiologic technology

Preferred

• Experience in larger, fast-paced hospital settings
• Familiarity with GE, Siemens, or Shimadzu imaging equipment
• Proficiency in McKesson PACS and EPIC electronic medical records system

Additional Information

• Department consists of 4 X-ray rooms, 4 portables, and 2 fluoroscopy rooms
• No IV starts required
• No floating to other departments
• No on-site radiologists
• Department-specific orientation: 2 hours with the manager and 2 weeks with clinical staff
