Travel assignment in Billings, Montana for an Ultrasound Technologist.
About the role
13-week travel contract starting 09/21/2026. 40 hours per week, 4×10-day shifts.
Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound examinations under physician direction to assist with diagnosis.
- Prepare patients, verify orders, and ensure accurate patient identification.
- Perform exams according to department protocols and evaluate images for quality and accuracy.
- Provide patient education and maintain patient comfort.
- Operate ultrasound equipment and related information systems.
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records.
- Follow infection control, sterile technique, medical necessity, consent, and quality control protocols.
- Assist and instruct students and other radiology staff with ultrasound procedures.
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Vascular procedure experience required.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of ultrasound experience.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- BLS certification.
- ARDMS registration required.
- RDMS Breast Specialty (RDMS-BR) required.
- At least one additional ARDMS registry beyond Physics, such as OB, Abdomen, Neuro, Breast, Pediatrics, or Vascular.
- Strong patient identification, ultrasound examination, and image evaluation skills.
