American Traveler is seeking a Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with a minimum of 12 months of clinical ultrasound experience and RDMS certification for a night shift contract position in Elizabethtown, KY.

- Hospital-based ultrasound/sonography department
- Performs a broad range of ultrasound examinations including abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, vascular, cardiac, and musculoskeletal studies
- 4x10 night shifts, Monday–Thursday, 7:30 PM–6:00 AM
- 40 hours per week
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum of 12 months of full-time clinical ultrasound/vascular experience
- Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program
- RDMs (ARDMS) required
- BLS required
- Hospital or medical imaging facility experience preferred
- Additional certification in specialized ultrasound modalities (e.g., abdominal, obstetric, vascular) preferred
- ARRT certification preferred
- Licenses required if applicable
About the Role
Obtain patient medical history and clinical information to assist in the interpretation of ultrasound findings
Capture high-quality ultrasound images and cine loops, documenting relevant anatomy and pathology
Assist radiologists and physicians in interpreting ultrasound studies and providing technical support
Adhere to ALARA guidelines and infection control protocols, including proper disinfection of equipment and transducers
Document examination details in the EMR or radiology information system (RIS)
Perform routine equipment checks, maintenance, and troubleshooting
May participate in orientation of new staff and education of Radiologic Technology students
