The Telemetry Nurse position is located in Parkersburg, West Virginia. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for patients with cardiac monitoring needs, focusing on post-procedure assessment and management of various cardiac conditions. The Telemetry Nurse will join a fast-paced unit that manages a high volume of patient admissions and discharges, ensuring quality care and patient safety.

Job Details

• Position: Telemetry Nurse
• Location: Parkersburg, West Virginia
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 08/17/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Certifications: BLS & ACLS from the American Heart Association
• Nursing Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience
• Licensure: Must be licensed to submit
• Willingness: Willing to wait for license

Patient Population

Post heart cath procedures, CHF, COPD, arrhythmias, patients on Heparin drips, and other cardiac monitoring cases.

Unit Details

• Bed Count: 43-bed cardiac telemetry unit
• Room Types: Semi-private and private rooms
• Ratios: Averaging 1:5, flexible up to 1:6
• Skills: Read EKG strips and manage titratable drips (Heparin, Lasix, Bumex)

Float Requirements

• Float Rotation: May include coverage in ICU and Stepdown units within skillset
• Floated Assignments: Within scope

Dress Code

Royal Blue scrubs; scrub jackets permitted but no hoodies or sweat-jackets.
