Job Summary
This position involves providing nursing care in a telemetry unit, focusing on patients with cardiac or medical conditions such as CHF, COVID, respiratory issues, GI, diabetics, post-cath, and total joint replacements. The role requires interpreting telemetry strips, responding to patient needs, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.
Job Details
- Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- At least 2 years of nursing experience
- Licensure to practice
- The ability to interpret telemetry strips
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with reading basic telemetry strips
- Managing CVA and TIA patients
- Cerner electronic health record system experience
- Total joint replacement experience
Schedule
- Shifts are 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Schedules created for four-week blocks
- Self-scheduling used but pending manager approval
Additional Information
- Pending passing a dysrhythmia exam within two attempts before contract signing
- The candidate may float to East Campus and potentially to PCU if qualified
- Night shifts and weekend rotations are part of the schedule, with specific holiday coverage
- One unit orientation shift will be provided

Pay Package
The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
