Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Lexington, Kentucky.

Job Summary

Telemetry (TELE) RN Nights position providing patient care in an acute care setting. The role involves managing post-catheterization patients, including sheaths and trans-radial band management, with TAVR experience preferred. The Telemetry RN will also care for medical patients requiring telemonitoring and may assist with chest tubes and overflow duties from adjacent units.

Responsibilities

• Manage post-catheterization patients, including sheath and TR band management
• Provide bedside care
• Read telemetry strips
• Troubleshoot respiratory equipment such as Cpap, BiPap, and High Flow
• Participate in self-scheduled shifts with flexibility for change
• Serve as overflow for adjacent units
• Manage chest tubes
• Care for medical patients requiring telemonitoring

Requirements

• BLS certification
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a telemetry or similar setting
• Float rotation may be required

Additional Information

• Nurse to patient ratio of approximately 1:4-6 depending on acuity
• Charge nurse on each shift who may also take an assignment
• Telemetry and respiratory equipment are in-house, with RT support available
• Centralized tele monitoring; RNs responsible for reading strips once per shift and with rhythm changes
• Orientation consists of 1-2 shifts
• TAVR experience preferred

Schedule

• Nights shift, 12 hours per shift
• Minimum of 36 hours per week
