About the role

As a FirstChoice Surgical Technologist, you will float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations and regions, demonstrating professional practice by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating outcomes. You will act independently within your scope, collaborate with stakeholders, and embrace new responsibilities and cultural differences while managing competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Know, understand, incorporate, and demonstrate standard elements of professional practice: assess, outcomes identification/solutions, plan, implement, evaluate.
• Act independently and appropriately within scope of knowledge and experience.
• Retain accountability for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to quality improvement practices and outcomes.
• Exhibit agility and willingness to take on new and additional responsibilities.
• Embrace new ideas and cultural differences while managing competing priorities.

Requirements

• Preferred: Graduate of an Associate or Bachelor’s degree program for Surgical Technologist.
• Preferred Certification: CST (Certified Surgical Technologist).
• Minimum of 18 months experience is required for CST certification.
• If no Surgical Technologist program completed (e.g., on-the-job or military training), five years of work experience is required.
• Cannot hold a concurrent position at a Trinity Health facility.
• Ability to complete orientation and training.

Pay

Gross weekly rate: $1,200.00 for a 2x12-hour day shift.

Schedule

• Start date: ASAP.
• Assignment duration: 12 weeks.
• Hours: Two 12-hour shifts per week (day shift).
