About the role
American Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Surgical First Assistant for a 13-week assignment in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery
- Manage surgical instruments and equipment
- Monitor patient conditions during and after surgery
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals
Requirements
- Current certification as a Surgical First Assistant
- Experience in a surgical setting
- Knowledge of sterile technique and infection control
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a surgical first assistant training program
- Current CPR certification

Pay
The pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation), with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Schedule
Shifts are 8 hours long, Monday through Friday, with a start date of August 3, 2026.
