About the role
Provide specialized nursing care to neuroscience patients, including stroke, seizure, and post-craniotomy patients.
Responsibilities
- Titrate medications such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, dopamine, Nipride, Ketamine, Lasix, Bumex, and Insulin per physician orders.
- Collaborate with RT and physicians for ventilator settings and patient support equipment.
- Monitor patient status using telehealth equipment and read strips as needed.
- Adhere to unit protocols during night shifts and participate in holiday and weekend rotations.
Requirements
- BLS and NIHSS required; ACLS preferred.
- Must have overall strong Neuro experience with NIHSS in hand at time of submit.
- History of caring for stroke patients and implementing NIH.
Pay
Pay range: $2,218.36 – $2,329.28 per 12-hour shift (subject to confirmation).
