Travel assignment for a Speech Language Pathologist in Winchester, New Hampshire. Start date: 08/31/2026 for 13 weeks.
About the role
This position is in a long-term care (LTC) nursing home setting, with a shift of 5x8 days (08:00–16:30) and guaranteed hours of 35 per week.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language pathology assessments for residents in an LTC setting, focusing on communication, cognition, and swallowing.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans; monitor progress and adjust goals as needed.
- Provide therapy to address dysphagia, aphasia, apraxia, cognitive-communication disorders, and related conditions.
- Perform bedside swallow evaluations and collaborate with nursing and dietary teams to ensure safe meals and hydration plans.
- Document evaluations, treatment notes, progress, and discharge planning in the electronic medical record; ensure privacy and compliance with facility policies.
- Educate residents, families, and care teammates on strategies to support communication and swallowing function; participate in care planning and interdisciplinary rounds.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Speech-Language Pathologist license in the United States; eligibility for licensure in New Hampshire.
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Experience in acute care or long-term care settings with adult populations is preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Ability to commit to a 13-week travel assignment and meet the guaranteed weekly hour requirements.
Pay
Weekly pay range: $2,417–$2,524.
Schedule
- 13-week contract duration.
- Guaranteed hours: 35 per week.
- Shift: 5x8 days (08:00–16:30).
