Travel Speech Language Pathologist Acute Care Job

This temporary travel opportunity is in a Skilled Nursing Facility delivering acute care services to residents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech-language pathology evaluations for residents with communication and swallowing disorders
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with resident needs and facility policies
• Provide direct therapy and document progress, adjusting goals as appropriate
• Collaborate with nursing, rehabilitation, medical, and therapy teams to support safe, efficient resident care and discharge planning
• Educate residents and families on communication strategies and dysphagia management; ensure patient safety and adherence to HIPAA standards

Requirements

• Active licensure to practice speech-language pathology in California (or eligibility to obtain licensure)
• Ability to work in a skilled nursing facility environment within a travel assignment
• Experience with adult populations, including communication and swallowing disorders (acute care or SNF setting preferred)
• Strong interpersonal and documentation skills; ability to collaborate across interdisciplinary teams
• Commitment to resident safety, quality of care, and professional standards

Pay

$2,480 to $2,578 per week with guaranteed 35 hours per week.

Schedule

5x8 days (08:00–16:30) for 13 weeks.
