About the role

American Traveler seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist with a CA license and 2+ years of Acute Rehab or Acute Care experience for a 13-week travel assignment at a 52-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Sacramento, California. Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility and cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months or be employed elsewhere full-time during the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized rehabilitation services to patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury.
• Work within a comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation program focused on maximizing patient health, function, and quality of life.
• Treat a caseload of 4-5 patients per day with 6 hours of treatment time per day in an inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital setting.
• Document using Cerner EHR.
• Day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with weekend coverage available on request.

Requirements

• Current California SLP license.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Acute Rehab or Acute Care setting.
• AHA certifications required.
• No call or floating requirements.

Assignment Details

• Start Date: August 24, 2026.
• Duration: 13 weeks.
• Hours: 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts (5x8hrs).
• Employment Type: Travel.
