About the role
LanceSoft is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a 13-week assignment in Mound City, MO. This full-time position requires 40 hours per week on an 8-hour day shift.
Responsibilities
- Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders; develop and implement appropriate plans of care following all regulatory and clinical practice standards.
- Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions.
- Assess patient progress, adjust treatments accordingly, and document in the clinical record per regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
- Evaluate treatment outcomes for effectiveness; modify services and make referrals based on outcomes.
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding speech disorders.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and health team members about patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans.
- Provide comprehensive discharge summaries per regulatory and clinical requirements.
- Document all required regulatory and clinical information in the electronic documentation system and maintain patient records according to company policy.
- Accurately record treatment minutes for services provided per regulatory and clinical requirements.
- Participate in required meetings, including patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings.
- Attend facility and company-required trainings, in-services, and conferences.
- Obtain necessary DME or supplies per regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
- Supervise and support CFY or Student Speech-Language Pathologists.
- Adhere to ASHA and State Required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics during professional practice.
Requirements
- Active ASHA and Missouri State Licensure (required).
- CCC-certified SLP (required).
- 1 year of SLP experience (required); new graduates are acceptable if they have completed a Level II experience (not just Level I observation).
- LTC or Rehab experience (required).
- 3 years of experience holding active CCS (preferred).
- Must submit one reference at the time of application.

Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
