Travel Speech Language Pathologist - $2,578 per week

Focus Staff is seeking a traveling Speech Language Pathologist to provide speech therapy services, including evaluation and treatment, to patients ranging from pediatric to older adults based on diagnosed conditions. This is a 13-week contract assignment with a 40-hour workweek.

About the Role

This temporary travel position is located in Alameda, CA, and involves working 5x8-hour day shifts. The role requires compassion, efficiency, attention to detail, and strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety. Candidates must possess independent decision-making skills and the ability to act quickly in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy to maximize speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities.
• Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisors and team members; assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records.
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements.
• Handle job responsibilities in line with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, Corporate Compliance Agreement, and applicable state/federal laws.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Graduate of a master’s-level program in Speech Language Pathology accredited by the Education Standards Board or meeting ASHA certification requirements.
• At least 2 years of SLP experience.
• Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families.

Pay

Pay depends on location and experience, with a competitive package including a tax-free stipend (amount to be determined).
