About the role
The position involves providing specialized instruction to students with severe disabilities within a school setting. The teacher will work closely with a team of professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
Responsibilities
- Teach academic subjects tailored to the needs of students with severe disabilities.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and parents to ensure student success.
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or related field.
- Valid state special education teaching certification.
Qualifications
- Experience working with students with severe disabilities preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
