About the role

The position involves providing specialized instruction to students with severe disabilities within a school setting. The teacher will work closely with other educators, therapists, and support staff to develop and implement individualized educational plans.

Responsibilities

• Teach academic subjects tailored to the needs of students with severe disabilities
• Develop and implement individualized educational plans based on student assessments
• Collaborate with other professionals to provide a comprehensive educational program
• Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
• Participate in IEP meetings and other school-related meetings
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding special education

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or related field
• Valid California teaching credential for Special Education
• Experience working with students with severe disabilities preferred

Qualifications
