About the role
Horizon Health is seeking a Social Work Master of Social Work for a travel job in Ocala, Florida. This is a 13-week inpatient therapist opportunity in behavioral health, with potential to renew. The role involves working full-time, 40 hours per week on a 5x8 day shift schedule with weekend rotation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct therapeutic groups for patients
- Interview and develop psychological histories, assessing the therapeutic needs of the individual and family
- Develop appropriate treatment objectives and weekly treatment summaries
- Act as the patients' and families' primary contact during the patient's stay as well as their advocate with the treatment team
- Work as a liaison with outside agencies and individuals for the purpose of developing and coordinating discharge planning with the treatment team and family
- Provide high-quality patient care, displaying good skills in assessment of patients' functional needs and outcomes; consulting with and participating as part of the patients' treatment team
- Work within a team environment to ensure that each treatment modality is appropriate for the patient
- Complete and maintain all required documentation in a timely manner consistent with policies and regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited school in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology
- Licensed in the state of Florida (e.g. LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC) is preferred but not required
- At least one year of experience in a psychiatric health care facility with direct experience in family and group therapies and treatment skills
- Must have strong clinical assessment skills
- Adolescent drug addiction experience highly desired
Pay
Enhanced hourly rate and tax-exempt stipend where applicable. Estimated pay rate: $2,114-$2,378 per week. Bi-weekly pay.
