Assignment Details – Licensed Social Worker/Therapist - Specialty: Behavioral Health - Location: Clive, IA - Duration: 13 weeks with potential to renew - Full-Time, 40 hours per week, 5x8 schedule, weekend coverage needed - Shift: Day shift - Enhanced hourly rate & tax-exempt stipend where applicable - Bi-weekly pay
Travel Therapist Job Duties/Responsibilities
Perform social services functions to include assisting patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs while enabling them to access through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health
Provide basic consultation, teaching, complete specialized clinical social work services for patients/families receiving care, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term family therapy, and provide referrals as needed.
Provide high quality patient care, displaying good skills in assessment of patients’ functional needs and outcomes; consulting with and participating as part of the patients’ treatment team.
Assess patient needs regularly and assist in the developing and updating of the Master Treatment Plan.
Work within a team environment to ensure that each treatment modality is appropriate for the patient.
Complete and maintain all required documentation in a timely manner consistent with policies and regulations.
Travel Therapist Job Requirements
- Education: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling, or clinical related field
- Licensure/Certifications: licensed in the state of Iowa as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW); may consider temp licensed.
- Mandatory Reporter for Adult/Child
- CPR
- Experience: one or more years' experience in a mental health setting preferred and good documentation skills needed
