Travel SICU RN - $1,562 per week

About the role

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN specializing in Surgical Intensive Care (SICU) for a position in San Antonio, Texas. The role is a 13‑week travel contract starting ASAP, with 36 hours per week on 12‑hour shifts (day or night rotation, weekends rotating). The Registered Nurse will provide critical care to patients with serious and complex medical conditions, requiring strong critical thinking, quick decision‑making in high‑pressure situations, and a commitment to compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients in the ICU.
• Administer medication and treatments as prescribed.
• Interact with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to provide quality care.
• Perform critical procedures such as intubations, central line placements, and monitoring of vital signs.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using the Meditech documentation system.

Requirements

• Minimum 2‑3 years of ICU experience.
• Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses not accepted).
• ACLS and BLS certifications.
• NIH Stroke Certification.
• Preferred: MICU & MSICU background, IABP exposure, CRRT exposure.

Schedule

36 hours per week, 12‑hour shifts. Shift pattern: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, with weekend rotation.
