About the Role

AMN Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Job Requirements

  • Required Experience: 2 years of strong high acuity Pediatric ICU experience – must be comfortable in a high acuity, fast paced environment

  • Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Respiratory, Trauma (which includes penetrating and non-accidental trauma, NAT), DKA, Seizures, Neurosurgical, Acute/Chronic Renal Failure, Orthopedic, Surgical, Transplants (Kidney and whole/partial Liver), complex Medical, Blood Disorders
  • Patient Ratios: Weekend Rotation will be required to work 2 Fridays, 2 Saturdays, 2 Sundays and 2 Mondays every 6-week schedule. The combination of the 2 Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays can be grouped together or worked separately as long as those eight (8) shifts occur within the 6-week period.
  • Holiday Requirements: Travelers will work 75% of holidays, Unit requirement is the eve and day of every other holiday while contracted.
  • Floating Requirements: Pediatric CVICU, NICU, Neonatal PCU, Gen Peds – will float as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse, PICU
  • Experience: 2 years
  • Licenses: RN (Compact Accepted) (Copy needed)
  • Certifications: PALS (Copy needed); BLS (Copy needed)
  • SSN Required
  • DOB Required
  • References: 1 Reference in the last 12 months; skills checklist must be dated within 12 months; previous travel reference must be dated within 12 months (job can be up to 5 years old)
