Travel Sales & Logistics Specialist
About the role
SilverOpus Authentic Tours designs small-group luxury journeys to Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Switzerland, the UK, Ireland, Argentina, Brazil, Portugal, Spain, Morocco, and Japan. Our clients are 50+ travelers who’ve been everywhere and expect everything to be right. We don’t do “good enough,” and neither should you. This isn’t a job where you close the sale and hand the client off to someone else. You’ll open the relationship, close it, and then stay in it — booking the hotels, coordinating with our suppliers on the ground, and being the voice on the other end when a client has a question three weeks before they fly. If you take pride in seeing a client relationship through from first call to final thank-you, this is the role for you.
Responsibilities
- Field incoming leads, walk prospects through our programs, and close deals with sophisticated travelers.
- Book the services behind the sale, work directly with suppliers at destination, and be the person our clients trust after they’ve already paid — answering questions, solving problems, and making sure the trip we promised is the trip they get.
- Hold both a sales mindset and a follow‑through mindset simultaneously.
- Take ownership of a client relationship from first hello to final thank‑you note.
- Be comfortable working weekends as part of the normal workweek.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the travel industry (not an entry‑level role).
- Strong, working knowledge of at least two of these destinations: Scandinavia (Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland), Switzerland, the UK, Ireland, Argentina, Brazil, Portugal, Spain, Morocco, the Balkans, or Japan.
- Excellent people and customer‑service skills, with communication that doesn’t need workshopping.
- Outgoing personality — comfortable initiating and sustaining relationships with strangers.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the composure to resolve supplier or booking issues under time pressure.
Skills
- Ability to hold two very different mindsets at once — the close and the follow‑through — without dropping either one.
- Take ownership of a client relationship from first hello to final thank‑you note.
- Comfortable with weekends as part of your normal workweek, not an exception to it.
Benefits
- 3 weeks (15 business days) of paid time off, plus holidays.
- Retirement plan.
Pay
$60K–$65K base salary, plus bonuses and the possibility of commission.
Schedule
Remote, full‑time (40 hrs/week). Weekend work (Saturday and Sunday) is required for this role; the other three days are yours to arrange.
