About the role

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital IMCU/Stepdown 5RP Unit is hiring a Temporary Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a 14-week assignment. Pay rate: $70.00/hr. This is a full-time, temporary position with no benefits.

Department/Unit Overview

This unit provides care to the following types of neuroscience patients:

• Back and neck surgical patients
• Epilepsy patients
• All neurosurgeries (brain, pituitary, etc.)
• Stroke patients (surgical and non-surgical)

Requirements

• Education: Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s, or diploma in Nursing
• Licensure: Virginia or Compact Multi-State RN license in good standing
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Experience: Two or more years of current acute care hospital RN experience
