Job Details

RN Step Down position at WIMIL Ascension Columbia St Mary's Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Job Requirements

  • 2 years PCU / Med-Surg Telemetry Acute Care experience required.
  • Must have current nursing license verified within 30 days prior to start.
  • Must complete Ascension Specialty Exam prior to first assignment and update every 3 years with minimum 80% passing score.
  • Must complete Ascension Core Competencies within a year of start and update every 3 years with minimum 80% passing score.
  • Must complete Ascension EKG Exam with passing score of at least 80%.
  • Must complete Ascension Skills Checklist within one year of start and update annually for specialty.
  • Must have professional references and background checks as required by Ascension.
  • Must meet all health and vaccination requirements including MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Hepatitis B, Influenza Vaccine (optional), Fit Test, TB testing, and health statement.

Schedule Information

  • Shift: 19:00 - 07:30 (Evening to Overnight shift).
  • Schedule includes every other week (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH).

Unit Specific Information

  • Unit may be PCU, Med/Surg, or Telemetry based on greatest need and traveler skills.
  • Floating within skill set or to sites within 40 miles may be required.

Additional Details

  • Traveler must submit Ascension Resume for submission.
  • Signed Assignment Agreement required for onboarding.
  • Ascension Badge Photo required for onboarding.
  • Must complete Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation and Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding.
  • Must complete Ascension Nova StatStrip pre-hire modules.
  • Must complete Ascension Epic Test-Out with signed attestation.
  • Ascension Criminal Background Check and EPLS must be completed and updated as required.
  • Driver's License/State ID must be valid and match address requirements.
  • Ascension Profile and 2 Professional References required for submission.
  • Ascension Employment Verification required and updated annually.
  • Hiring Manager Evaluation and Name Change Document are optional.
