TRAVEL - RN - Ortho
About the Unit
This is a 6A Ortho/Medical unit located at HCA HealthONE Presbyterian St. Luke's in Denver, CO. The unit consists of two 18-bed sections, totaling 36 beds, with a staff of approximately 50 team members.
- Day Shift: 2 Charge Nurses, 2-5 RNs, 2-3 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)
- Night Shift: 2 Charge Nurses, 2-5 RNs, 2-3 PCTs
Patient ratios are 4:1 for Spine patients and 5:1 for Ortho patients. The unit is equipped with telemetry, epidurals, PCAs, ice machines, and Sara Steady devices. The EMR system used is Meditech.
Responsibilities
- Provide acute care for Ortho and Spine patients
- Central line care
- Administer blood transfusions
- Perform foley and straight catheterizations
Requirements
Must-have skills and qualifications (candidates without these will not be considered):
- BLS certification
- At least 1 year of current hospital acute care Ortho experience
Preferred skills (candidates with these will be prioritized):
- ACLS certification
- Ortho/Spine experience
- Med/Surg experience
