About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Renal Unit specializing in renal patient care.
Responsibilities
- Manage patients with acute and chronic kidney issues, including those on renal replacement therapies such as hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.
- Provide post-hemodialysis care and ongoing dialysis management.
- Collaborate with nephrologists, family practice providers, and hospitalists to deliver comprehensive renal care.
- Support patients throughout the care continuum.
- Float to other units and hospitals as needed.
Requirements
- Active AL or Compact RN license; no pending or temporary licenses.
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year in Med/Surg Telemetry or Renal specialty.
- Associate degree in nursing or higher.
- Current BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross.
- No hits on nursing license history.
- Skills checklist, recent references, NURSYS verification, and a valid driver’s license required.
Schedule
Night shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), every other weekend, holiday coverage as needed.
Additional Information
- EMR system experience with Meditech preferred.
- Virtual orientation with competency modules; no prior HealthStream modules required.
- Local candidates accepted.
