Travel RN/LPN

The Travel RN will ensure quality patient care, implementation, and compassion within the home setting in a specific market discussed prior to starting. The Travel RN will report to an RN Case Manager or a team scheduler.

Responsibilities

• Provision of personal assistive care, including but not limited to:
  • Bathing and dressing of patient (bed bath, shower, or tub)
  • Personal hygiene: oral care, nail care, basic grooming
  • Mobility assistance: ambulation, wheelchair mobility, bed mobility
  • Toileting, including care for catheters, ostomies, and similar devices
  • Meal preparation and assistance with nutritional intake if necessary
  • Turning bedridden clients and changing bed clothes or soiled sheets
  • Laundry, vacuuming, dusting, and other cleaning tasks
  • Organization of client’s room or personal living space
  • Kitchen tasks: washing dishes, emptying/loading dishwasher
  • Client errands and transportation (e.g., medication pickup, grocery shopping)
• Monitor and record vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate, temperature)
• Record intake and output (urine and bowel movements)
• Report client’s mood, behavior, or other emotional status
• Regularly assess the nursing needs of the client
• Participate in the establishment and implementation of the client’s service plan
• Provide nursing services as needed and in accordance with the client’s service plan
• Report all problems, changes in condition, and progress of client to the Case Manager and the client’s personal physician
• Medication administration and management as needed
• Complete all clinical documentation appropriately and within an acceptable time frame

Working Conditions

• Daily driving to and from appointments with clients and to the Agency office
• Flexible work week, including weekends and holidays if needed (compensation provided)
• Other conditions may apply based on clients, employees, or business environment
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds

Requirements

• Current, valid license as a registered professional nurse or licensed practical/vocational nurse
• Reliable personal vehicle with valid insurance
• Negative criminal background history check and pre-employment drug screening
• Proficient use of spoken and written English
