Travel Respiratory Therapist Tech - $2,064 per week

About the role

American Traveler is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 15‑week day‑shift contract in Hilo, Hawaii. The assignment requires a Hawaii state license, minimum two years of experience, and involves caring for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations using computerized charting, Pyxis medication management, PB 980 and PB 840 ventilators, V60, and Para Pac transport ventilators with EPIC EMR.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous airway management and ventilator and non‑invasive ventilator support
• Consult with physicians and perform CPR and all aspects of respiratory care
• Utilize computerized charting, Pyxis medication management, PB 980 and PB 840 ventilators, V60, and Para Pac transport ventilator
• Work with EPIC EMR
• Provide holiday coverage as required

Requirements

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• PALS with NRP preferred
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Active State of Hawaii respiratory therapist license (must be in hand by start date; candidates without an active license must apply upon offer acceptance)
• Proof of flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exception prior to contract start
• Completion of at least one prior travel assignment
• Ability to arrive the Thursday before the start date for an employee health appointment the following Friday

• Day shift: 06:30 – 19:00 (three 12‑hour shifts per week)
• 36 hours per week
• 15‑week contract assignment
