TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 52‑week assignment in Charlottesville, Virginia. The position requires 1 year of recent acute‑care experience. As a Respiratory Therapist you will provide direct patient care across a variety of clinical areas, performing evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines. Responsibilities

• Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities to patients.
• Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function; report malfunctions to the director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care.
• Respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute‑care experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS and NRP may be required in some areas).
• NBRC credential (RRT) and 4 years of experience preferred.
• Physical demands: ability to stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty; lift 20 lb routinely and up to 50 lb when moving patients.
• Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Pay & Schedule

Pay package is based on 12‑hour night shifts, 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined. Assignment duration: 52 weeks.
