About the Role
A skilled Travel Respiratory Therapist to provide advanced respiratory care to patients with complex pulmonary and critical illnesses.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders
- Perform diagnostic tests and administer therapies such as aerosol medications and chest physiotherapy
- Monitor and adjust respiratory equipment to ensure optimal patient support
- Educate patients and families on medication use and equipment handling
- Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care
- Assess and treat respiratory conditions
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly
- Collaborate with healthcare teams and educate patients
Requirements
- One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Valid NBRC RRT credential and state license
- Current BLS certification; ACLS or PALS preferred
- Critical thinking, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to move equipment and support patients
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and using PC tools
- Ability to work under pressure, handle irregular schedules, and maintain attention to detail
