Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Key Responsibilities

• Administering invasive and non-invasive ventilation
• Operating ventilatory and aerosol equipment
• Performing chest physiotherapy, suctioning, and monitoring patient vitals
• Assisting with procedures such as bronchoscopy, chest tube placement, and tracheostomy care
• Conducting pulmonary function tests, interpreting EKGs, and performing arterial punctures
• Ensuring proper equipment setup, maintenance, and documentation of treatments and patient responses
• Communicating with physicians regarding therapy effectiveness and maintaining accurate records

Qualifications & Skills

• Licensed Respiratory Therapist with experience operating ventilatory devices, performing advanced procedures, and following clinical policies
• Knowledge of laboratory testing procedures, CPR (BLS & ACLS), and equipment maintenance
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Additional Duties

• Educating patients on treatments
• Providing patient transport
• Supporting preventative maintenance of equipment
