Travel Respiratory Therapist - NICU - $2,998 per week

About the role

American Traveler is seeking a travel Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU for a Level IV NICU position on night shift at a 40‑bed academic teaching hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The role involves providing respiratory care to critically ill and extremely premature infants, may require floating between neonatal and pediatric units, and requires RRT certification with at least one year of Level 3+ NICU or PICU experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to critically ill and extremely premature infants in a Level IV NICU
• Work in a 40‑bed Level IV NICU at an academic teaching hospital
• May float between neonatal and pediatric units based on facility need
• Night shift: 4×12‑hour shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• No on‑call requirement
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Scrubs provided

Requirements

• Pennsylvania Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required if applicable
• Current RRT certification required
• BLS and NRP certifications required; PALS preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Level 3 or higher NICU or PICU
• PA fingerprints required prior to start
• Valid references and copies of certifications required for consideration

Skills

• Skilled in Bubble CPAP, CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BIPAP, extubation, and intubation assist
• Epic charting experience preferred

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 48.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Night shift, 4×12‑hour shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM), every other weekend and every other holiday required; no on‑call requirement.
