Travel Respiratory Therapist - Neuro Diagnostics - $1,896 per week

About the role

American Traveler is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13‑week assignment at a rehabilitation hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The position is on night shift (3×12‑hour shifts, 36 hours per week) starting October 12, 2026, working in the Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics unit with Epic EMR.

Responsibilities

• Provide bronchodilator care, ventilator care, pulmonary hygiene therapy, and airway management
• Perform tracheostomy changes
• Conduct sleep disorder screening and administer Bipap/Cpap therapy
• Carry out diagnostic procedures including EKGs, blood gas analysis, TCOM monitoring, and overnight pulse ox studies
• Assist with patient discharge education and coordination
• Perform patient assessment and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Develop and follow patient‑centered care plans aligned with physician priorities

Requirements

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – CRT not accepted
• Minimum 1+ years of respiratory therapy experience
• Current BLS certification
• NBRC national certification (RRT)
• Valid Michigan state RRT license in hand prior to start date

Qualifications

• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation); includes a tax‑free stipend (amount to be determined).

Schedule

Night shift: 3×12‑hour shifts per week (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM), totaling 36 hours weekly.
