Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care for patients in accordance with established protocols and standards.
• Administer various treatments and therapies related to respiratory issues.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care activities.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification (required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience preferred; candidates with a minimum of 2 years of experience will also be considered.
• ACCS certification preferred.
• Must possess a valid state license. A Virginia license pending approval is acceptable, provided a temporary license can be obtained before starting the position; another state license is needed to qualify for the temporary license.

Schedule

This position requires working night shifts, specifically 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). The candidate must be available to work every other weekend and must commit to working at least two out of the three winter holidays. This position does not utilize block scheduling. Flexible availability is essential due to the demands of patient care and staffing needs during peak periods such as holiday seasons.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 48.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
