Travel Respiratory Therapist - $1,128 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Respiratory Therapist for a 12‑week assignment in Nashville, Tennessee. The position is 36 hours per week, 12‑hour day shifts, travel employment type. The right candidate should have 1 year of recent acute care experience. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide direct patient care in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records/documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function; report malfunctions to the director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care.
• Respond to emergent situations that could require respiratory support.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; PALS and NRP may be required in some areas.
• Required credentials: RRT, CRT, PALS, ACLS, BLS, NBRC.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
• Physical demands: ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty; lift 20 pounds easily, and up to 50 pounds when moving or lifting patients.
• Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Pay and schedule

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
