Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - Pediatrics - $2,121 per week

About the role

We're looking for a Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist (Peds-RRT) for an immediate travel position opening in Charleston, SC. The right Peds-RRT must have 1 year of recent acute care experience. As a Peds-RRT, you will provide direct patient care to patients in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities
• Maintains appropriate patient records/documentation
• Cleans, disinfects, assembles, calibrates, maintains respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories
• Evaluates equipment for proper and safe function; reports malfunctions to director
• Performs arterial puncture and analyzes sample according to procedure guidelines
• Interacts with co-workers, nurses, physicians, other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for patient being treated
• Responds to emergent situations that could require Respiratory support

Requirements

• 1 year of recent acute care experience (posting also notes "2 Years" in requirements summary)
• NBRC-RRT certification
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification (may be required in some areas)
• NRP certification (may be required in some areas)

Qualifications

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Ability to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
• Ability to easily lift 20 pounds
• Moving or lifting of patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds at times
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
