Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $2,451 per week

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Fairbanks, Alaska. The position is for a Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist (Peds-RRT) with an immediate opening. The assignment lasts 26 weeks, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to patients in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.
• Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records/documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function; report malfunctions to director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze sample according to procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care.
• Respond to emergent situations that could require respiratory support.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience (some listings note 2 years may be required).
• NBRC‑RRT certification.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• PALS certification (may be required in some areas).
• NRP may be required in some areas.

Skills

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Ability to lift 20 pounds routinely; moving or lifting patients may require up to 50 pounds.
• Vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
